Putting the device back into her shell, Heaven looked at Kamek and let off a tired sigh. "I'm sorry," she said to him as she straightened a tangle out of her hair. "What did you come in here for? All these distractions have me going crazy.."

"The plumber," Kamek sputtered out timidly as he finally had himself gathered together again. "But I see that we've already established that point, your majesty. Is there anything else I can do?"

"If you don't mind my request," Heaven said softly as she flopped down into the throne. "You are free to go since we've got issues taken care of."

"Yes your majesty," Kamek responded as he tipped his blue cap towards her. "Thank you for confirming my fears."

Through her exhausted state, Heaven couldn't help but smile at Kamek's hint of kindness. "You're welcome.." she responded softly.

Seeing Heaven was finished with him, Kamek quickly left the throne room and went back to his workshop. "That crystal ball I'm working on is almost done," he said to himself with a sly grin as he walked back. "That plumber DEFINITELY won't see us but we can see him!"

"Yes Sweet," Fire responded stoutly as he looked to the large gang of koopa troopas behind him, awaiting a command. "We've got his cheatin' rear for sure this time." Putting his talkie away, he gave the troops a quick salute. "Move out boys," he said proudly. "Wario is out in the plains a few miles out from here. Let's corner him and make this quick."

Bulldog ran both ahead and behind Wario at her whim as he pushed his way through the hills' brush. He wanted to grumble, but kept it to himself; now was the time for action, not the time for complaining, and knowing which was which could be the difference between a big haul and no treasure at all.

Eventually, they came across a large spooky-looking house that seemed to be tucked out of sight in a hill valley. Even in daylight, there was a dark night-like aura to it that Bulldog shirked away from.

"Hmm, bit of a run-down place, isn't it?" Wario mused out loud. "Obviously-a haunted. Likely has-a treasure inside... especially when the treasure is parts of a raft." Bulldog's whimpering drew his attention. "Aw c'mon, I know I built a braver plane than-a that! I'm-a not just leaving you out here when those-a pesky Koopas are around."

Sweet spotted the plumber easily from her post as he was crossing the fields and approaching the old ghost house, completely unaware of her presence. "Some old spirits at the Ghost House got an ugly visitor," she radioed back to Fire. "Hope Koopette can snag em'. Even the deceased got their standards.."

"Why are plumbers so stupid," Heaven said aloud as she sat alone in the throne room. "Maybe their brains are in their crack.."

Wario groaned and crossed his arms as Bulldog remained resolute in not entering the obviously haunted house. "Well, if you-a won't come in, I'll-a find something for you-a to do out here. Hrm... You be lookout. Any of those-a annoying Koopas show up, bark like-a crazy. Got it?"

The poodle barked.

"Good." He turned to the doors of the Donut Secret House, which had swung open by themselves. "Hmm... Nah, knocking down some trees will make a better raft than these old doors." Swinging his right arm around, he determinedly pulled down the brow of his cap. "Here I go!" he declared, stomping his way over the threshold.

A troop of koopas had just begun climbing over the lip of one of the warp pipes close by as they saw the plumber enter the Ghost House. "Hold it!" shouted the first one who had climbed out and was now walking towards the building. "That's not your property plumber. Go back to the slime hole you and your other friends came from, this ain't your neighborhood OR your lucky day."

Bulldog started barking at them immediately. Wario had barely taken two steps inside when he heard it and stopped.

"Was-a wondering where you pugsies got to!" he shouted back. "How hard is it for-a you to understand that I'm-a trying to do that and you punks keep making it harder?! Peh, what others anyway? Wario travels alone! Less ways to-a split the loot like that-"

He had started to turn around as he spoke, only to be interrupted by the doors - as haunted doors are wont to do - slamming shut in his face and holding firm. "What the?!" He pounded the door with his meaty fists a few times, but it refused to open. On the other side, the poodle had started scratching and whimpering at the door. "Now you're-a just being annoying!" he declared.

"This land belongs to the koopas," the koopa responded with a smug smile. "You don't play by your rules in our territory pal. You either earn it the way we say or you don't stay."

"Graaaa!" Wario groaned. "Machismo pugsies... Bulldog! Keep clear of 'em! I'm-a get the stuff we need and then come out a window!" The dog barked back and started circling the building, away from the Koopas, while Wario himself started off further into the Secret House. "Hmm, wonder how many linens I'd have to put together to-a improvise a sail..."

Crystal was sitting on her couch in deep meditation as she felt something forceful, almost like it was "kicking" its way through her world. Opening her eyes, she looked around her typically barren and dusty ghost house as she felt her heart flutter in her chest. "Sister," she whispered aloud. "If you feel someone invading please give me a sign and those intruding souls a proper exit.."

Closing her eyes again, she attempted to return to her typically calm heart rate. She sensed something that wasn't any good was on the "doorstep".

"Are you deaf and stupid?" the lead troopa yelled out at Wario. "If you want an attitude adjustment pal I'll give you one right here and now. If you ain't a coward."

There was a steadily-growing yell as Wario charged at the door, which continued to supernaturally hold fast. "Have you pugsies not-a figured out yet that I'm-a stuck inside this house and you're-a stuck outside?! Because if we weren't, I woulda already smacked you! Now buzz off; I'm-a on my way off your stupid rock anyways!"

"Quit arguing with that idiot," Bowser said into his walkie talkie, safe from all the nonsense in his own quarters. "That plumber is too much of a wuss to fight us anyways. Just like the rest of em'.."

Hearing more muffled yelling in her shell, Heaven sighed aloud and stared at the empty throne room walls around her. "Idiot Koopa troops, Idiot plumber.." she mumbled sarcastically. "A match made in heaven.."

"I'll get you unstuck.." a female voice said out to Wario, in a tone that could be confused as menacing but gentle depending on the ear that heard it and with an echo that filled the entire ghost house. "You could call me Koopette," the voice said again as the reptilian koopa appeared from the darkness similar to a ghost, "but I could also call you a home invader. Your choice.."

"Hm?" Wario turned to look at the voice and witnessed Koopette's entrance. He seemed relatively nonplussed about it. "Of course-a the house is haunted... Peh..." he muttered to himself.

Out loud, he said, "I'm-a Wario! I'm-a looking for stuff to build a raft to get off this-a island. Care to cough up anything useful?"

"You might want to cough up some manners," Koopette responded with a sly grin. "Not a lot of plumbers come here. None of them have ever left.."

"...Is that a yes?" Wario grunted. "Who you callin' a plumber anyway? Just 'cause I'm-a wearing this?" He snapped one of his suspender straps against his chest. "Peh, it was the cheapest adventuring gear I could-a get, nothing more."

"It isn't anything until you say please," Koopette said in irritation, tempted to toy with the imbecile 'plumber'. "I suggest you develop some kind of manners my adventuring friend or you may be on your last trip."
